When I bite into #heritage #apples like D'Arcy Spice the aroma reminds me of the village sweet shop I visited as a child. Such apples were valued for taste and storage ability - NOT bred to be transported halfway across the #planet in #plastic and thrown on a #supermarket shelf!

Today from 13.30, I shall be helping out with the winter pruning @HMount_Orchard in Greenmount, Bury and doing a quick tutorial for anyone who's interested in learning more about pruning principles. Do come along if you're in the area. Looks like it'll be a lovely afternoon.
