Getting in Touch by Email

If you’d like to contact me for any fruit-growing or orchard-related reason, please send an email to darren {at} orchardnotes.com (substituting @ for {at} as usual).

Please note: I am not interested in a website redesign, improved SEO performance, or any similar services. All emails along those lines will be deleted unread, and reported as spam.

Please also see below for my policy on Guest Posts, Syndicated Content etc.

Orchard Notes on Social Media

LinkedIn logo

These days, you will find my orchard-related posts and lots of apple photos on BlueSky @orchardnotes.com. I also have a LinkedIn account.

I am maintaining my old Twitter/X account @orchardnotes, but I’m not actively posting or re-posting anything there. I’m not currently active on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube or anywhere else.

Email List

If you’d like to receive a once-a-week digest email with details of and links to new blog posts on Orchard Notes, please click here for email list sign-up info.

I hate spam email as much as anyone, and I promise to never share your details with any other third parties (unless you specifically ask me to).

Want to Say “Thank You”?

If you’ve found something I’ve written particularly helpful, useful and/or informative, and as a result you find yourself gripped by an odd but overwhelming urge to show your appreciation for the work I do here on Orchard Notes, there are a few ways you can do so.

Firstly, please feel free to just send me an email (as above) and let me know what you found helpful and/or interesting. It’s always great to hear from happy site readers.

Or, if you’d rather do something a little more extravagant – which, I must stress is in no way expected but always hugely appreciated – then you can either tip me via Ko-Fi.com, or buy me a fruit-themed book from Amazon UK1Apologies to those who object to Amazon on ethical and/or economic grounds, but for convenience and ease of delivery this seems to be the simplest solution..

Ko-Fi Tip?

Head on over to the Orchard Notes Ko-Fi page to tip any amount, including one of the suggested amounts below. Here’s what I’ll spend it on:

£5 – I’ll buy myself a pint of cider next time I’m in the pub (cheers!)
£10 – I’ll buy (or save up for) a new book for my fruit book collection (the pomolibrary thanks you!)
£20 – I’ll put this towards my annual website hosting bill (much appreciated!)

Buy Me a Book?

If you’d like to help me feed my fruit book habit, you can do so via my Orchard Notes wishlist at Amazon.co.uk. Thank you!

Guest Posts & Syndicated Content on Orchard Notes

I’m always happy to discuss content-swap or guest-post ideas with fellow orchard bloggers and pomologists, but only with genuinely independent bloggers, and only if you’re writing about the topics covered here on Orchard Notes: fruit growing best practice, orchard management and culture, historical fruit recipes, etc.

Please N.B.: I’m not at all interested in hosting sponsored advertorials, infographics or any other pre-generated, promotional content. If that’s what you have in mind, please save yourself the time and effort of sending an email. I’ll only end up deleting it and reporting it as spam.

Product Reviews

If you make or sell fruit growing or orchard-related products – tools, books, etc. – that are useful, interesting, informative and/or novel, and you would like me to use, read or test them out and then post an honest review, please do please send an email to darren {at} orchardnotes.com (substituting @ for {at} as usual) to let me know what you have in mind.

Please note: Again, I don’t do advertorials or paid-for positive reviews. If I don’t think your product is all it’s cracked up to be, I’ll send you feedback before I write up a review and give you the option of asking me not to post it, but I won’t promote or recommend anything I don’t genuinely think is worthwhile.
