Max Miller, on Making ‘Lamb’s Wool’ for Wassailing

My favourite YouTuber Max Miller, of Tasting History fame, has finally returned to an orchard-based theme, with a suitably seasonal history of the tradition of wassailing and a recipe for making ‘Lamb’s Wool’, a mixture of roast apple pulp and warmed strong ale, sweetened with sugar and spiced up with ginger and nutmeg:

Lovely stuff. I’ll definitely be making myself a batch of Lamb’s Wool this Christmas. Sounds absolutely delicious.

Do check out the video and follow Max’s channel for new historical recipes every week.
