What’s that? Five apple trees? For a dollar?
A whole dollar?
Yeah, I’ll have to think about that and get back to you…
(In today’s money, a 1930 dollar is worth around $14.94 – still a damn good price for five apple trees. The same brochure has a 10c offer: buy one tree – around 30c – and get a second of the same variety for 10c, if you want to be more selective. They just need the name of your local railway operator so they can arrange delivery.)
